Jason Van Dyke

Attorney

Mr. Van Dyke is a native of Troy, Michigan who graduated from Lutheran High School Northwest in 1998 before matriculating to Michigan State University. It always had been his desire to live in Texas and to attend a school more consistent with his views, he transferred to University of Dallas in 2001 where he earned his bachelor’s degree in December 2003. He began his legal education at Stetson University College of Law in January of 2004 and graduated with both his Juris Doctor and a Certificate of Concentration in Advocacy in December of 2006. Mr. Van Dyke had passed the Texas bar exam prior to his graduation from law school and was sworn in less than two months after his graduation.

Jason Van Dyke

Mr. Van Dyke serves as lead counsel for many of the felony cases accepted by the firm, all juvenile cases, and all other cases originating in Wise, Jack, Parker, Montague, and Young County. He was a civil litigator for many years and now practices both adult and juvenile criminal defense full time.

Outside of law practice, Mr. Van Dyke is an avid outdoorsman and martial artist. He is a black belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu and a brown belt in Judo. He is a life member of the National Rifle Association at the benefactor level, is recognized as a Grand Master Waterfowl Hunter by the Ultimate Waterfowlers Challenge and has registered a world slam with the National Wild Turkey Federation.
